WhatsApp payments available by end of year
WhatsApp is currently involved in advanced talks with banks and lobby organisation NPCI with the goal of gaining support for the addition of the Unified Payment Interface (UPI) payment system to the popular messaging app, as reported by Gadgets 360.
Referring to a source close to the matter, the report states WhatsApp plans to add the UPI payment system to its platform by the end of year and that both the talks with NPCI and the implementation of the system are running smoothly.
