RED developing holographic phone screen

Digital camera manufacturer RED is working on an unlocked Android smartphone featuring a 5.7-inch holographic screen capable of displaying 2D content, stereo 3D content and the company’s mysterious ‘4-view content’.

As revealed in a pre-order product listing from RED, Hydrogen One will be the world’s first holographic media machine and will enable owners to enjoy AR and VR experiences without using glasses or headsets.

RED’s Hydrogen One holographic smartphone is available to pre-order now for a pretty hefty $1195 (or $1595 for the titanium model) and is scheduled to ship Q1 2018.
