OpenIV returns to GTAV

Popular modding toolkit OpenIV is once again accessible for Grand Theft Auto V players following a few weeks of confusion.

Following on from the recent minor controversy regarding Grand Theft Auto publisher Take-Two Interactive’s decision to remove popular modding tool OpenIV due to instances of players using it to hack and cheat the online component of Grand Theft Auto V, we now have news that OpenIV is live and available to use.

A noted in an article from Polygon, OpenIV received an update over the weekend implementing ‘bug fixes and small improvements’ indicating the toolkit is online and accessible to players.

OpenIV’s developers took the toolkit offline on June 14, two days after they received a cease-and-desist letter from Take-Two.
