iPhone 8 may be delayed until October
A new report from AppleInsider suggests the release date for the upcoming iPhone 8 smartphone may be postponed until October due to Apple’s delay in choosing a fingerprint technology for the device.
The report indicates that Apple has three options to choose from:
‘…thinning the cover glass over a sensor area, creating a pinhole through the glass for an optical or ultrasonic sensor, or trying a "film" sensor integrated into the display, using either capacitive or infrared technology.’
Previous rumours about the iPhone 8 have claimed the smartphone would go on general sale in September, the month Apple has released iPhones in preceding years.
