NBC Sports to broadcast Rocket League
NBC Sports is partnering with online competitive gaming platform FACEIT and video game developer Psyonix to bring the Psyonix’s immensely popular Rocket League to television this summer for a two vs. two tournament complete with a $100,000 prize pool.
As revealed in a press release from NBC Sports, the Rocket League tournament is part of a new esports property from the television network and will result in over 40 hours of coverage for the event via live-streaming, video-on-demand and liner platforms.
NBC Sport’s international Rocket League tournament begins on July 22 and will end with a Grand Final featuring 16 total teams competing for the inaugural title and cash prize on August 26 to 27.
