Unicode 10 launched

Yesterday saw the launch of Unicode 10, the latest emoji update that brings with it a total of 56 new emojis including a Bitcoin emoji and a sandwich emoji, as revealed in a blog post from the Unicode Consortium.

The new Unicode 10 update also includes support for lesser-used languages plus new 8,518 characters, bringing the total number of emoji characters to 136,690.
