Pokemon Go to add raid battles

Pokémon Go is set to receive a whole host of new content over the next few months including redesigned gyms, raid battles and new items, as reported by IGN.

Gyms will now hold a maximum of six Pokémon with only one of each type, and players will also be able to acquire items at gyms in addition to PokéStops.

Specific gyms will also feature raid battles that allow players to team up with other players to take on powerful boss Pokémon together as a group.

The raid battles are expected to begin in beta soon with the relevant update rolling out to all players in the next few weeks.
