Mass Effect series on hold for now

Video game publisher EA has decided to put BioWare’s Mass Effect series on hold for the time being following the disappointing reception to the recently released Mass Effect: Andromeda, as revealed in an article from Kotaku.

Mass Effect: Andromeda was expected to serve as a sort of soft reboot for the popular sci-fi video game series but a number of issues ranging from badly animated facial animations to lacklustre dialogue saw the game receive widespread criticism from gamers and critics alike.

Now it appears that EA has decided to focus on other projects for the time being; a number of employees from BioWare Montreal, the team behind ME: A, have been transferred to EA Motive to help out on the upcoming Star Wars Battlefront II.
