Weekend loves: This week's must do, see and buy

The packaging — in- your-face tropical prints embossed on the classic black MAC palettes — scream sun and fun.

The Oh My Banana eye palette, for example, includes Big Kahuna gold, Electric Manadrin orange, while the evocative coconut scent of Prep + Prime Fix sets the mood for dusk.

TASTE THIS

New York’s gourmet grocer has come to Ireland.

Dean & DeLuca, a range from the city’s coolest food market, made its European debut at Brown Thomas Grafton Street (and online at Brownthomas.com) this week.

The Soho-inspired space on Level 3 showcases Dean & DeLuca gourmet products and speciality items such as the famous pasta sauces and pasta along with risotto kits, sumptuous truffle oils, porcini, sea salts and a French seasoning collection including lavender, French tarragon, and rare mustard seeds.

The confectionery range includes almonds and hazelnuts in fine chocolate, toffee caramels and cheesecake caramels.

VISIT THIS

On a recent visit to Belfast, Game of Thrones was on everybody’s radar.

Taxi drivers, hoteliers, wait staff — everyone was directing us to nearby filming locations, or had a story about the time they met a particular cast member.

Now, in a stroke of genius, tourism NI has launched a Journey of Doors passport — visit 10 Game of Thrones doors and collect a stamp at each one.

The doors were carved from trees blown down on storm Gertrude in 2016 at the Dark Hedges — the most iconic filming location for the series.
