Nintendo sells 2.74 million Switch consoles in one month

Nintendo sold 2.74 million Nintendo Switch consoles and 5.46 million Switch games between March 3 and March 31.

Nintendo sold 2.74 million Nintendo Switch consoles during the month of March, as revealed by the company in a recently released financial statement (via Kotaku).

Between March 3 and March 31 Nintendo sold 600,000 Switch consoles in Japan, 1.2 million Switch consoles in the Americas, and 940,000 Switch consoles throughout the rest of the world resulting in total worldwide sales of 2.74 million units.

The company also sold 5.46 million Switch games during the same period, with the critically acclaimed The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild making up 2.76 million copies of the total.
