3 Google Pixel smartphones launching this year

Google is reportedly gearing up to release three new Google Pixel smartphones featuring the Snapdragon 835 chipset this year.

A new post on the Android Open Source Project suggests that Google may release three Google Pixel smartphones featuring Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 835 chipset this year (via Gizbot).

Two of the smartphones, codenamed Muskie and Walleye, are expected to succeed the Pixel and Pixel XL, while the third device, codenamed Taimen, could be released as a Pixel smartphone minus Google’s branding.

All three devices will come with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 chipset, and previous rumours have suggested that at least one of the devices will go on sale from October.

Google released the original Pixel and Pixel XL smartphones last year.
