Original StarCraft available now for free

Blizzard has released a free version of the original StarCraft and the game’s Brood War expansion for the PC and Mac, as noted in an article from Engadget.

Blizzard previously promised to release a free version of the original StarCraft back in March to help get fans ready for StarCraft: Remastered, an updated version of the classic RTS game featuring 4K graphics and contemporary online gameplay modes.

PC and Mac owners can download the game and its expansion for free plus the 1.18 patch update that adds a number of gameplay improvements.
