Children visiting the zoo can experience an enchanting host of activities including an exciting Fairy Door Trail, live fairy shows, face-painting and more.

The events will run from 11am until 4pm.

2. Easter Magic

Shannon Heritage attractions such as King John’s Castle, Bunratty Castle and Folk Park and Craggaunowen will be transformed into magical family playgrounds this Bank Holiday weekend with a spellbinding cocktail of magicians and medieval characters.

Tomorrow, magician Steve Spade will entertain the crowds at King John’s Castle in Limerick from 1-4pm, and there will also be water zorbing, a climbing wall, and archery.

Meanwhile over at Craggaunowen in Co Clare, enjoy Hook a Duck, Connect 4, Milk the Cow, and Easter trails 1-5pm.

3. Rising Remembered

The Irish Film Institute presents a screening of Revolution in Colour on Monday at 2pm. It tells the story of the struggle for independence during the first quarter of the 20th century.

The screening will be introduced by the director, Martin Dwan.

4. Wolf Tales

Multi award-winning CoisCéim Dance Theatre’s tour of its hit show The Wolf and Peter comes to Tralee’s Siamsa Tíre this Wednesday and Thursday with a 7pm show and a 2.30pm show.

Featuring five outstanding dancers with a live piano performance, it takes this timeless story of courage and imagination as inspiration and tells it through the eyes of the wolf.

Tickets cost €10 for adults, €6 for a child or €30 family. It will take to the stage at Glór in Ennis, Co Clare on April 24 and 25.

5. Keane Eye

John B Keane’s play Many young Men of Twenty takes to the stage of the Everyman Theatre in Cork from Thursday for three nights.

The issues of emigration, alcoholism, the status of women, and jobs for the boys are just as relevant today as they were in the 1960s when it was written.
