WebVR updated for Google Cardboard
Google has updated its Chrome browser with new WebVR features, providing Google Cardboard users with access to the browser based program, as noted in an article from Android Authority.
WebVR is an experimental JavaScript API that allows users to simply visit VR enabled links through Chrome, place their smartphone in the Google Cardboard holder and began a virtual reality experience.
Google has also opened WebVR Experiments, which acts as a sort of store for WebVR experiences, albeit they are currently all free to use.
A similar update for desktop Chrome support on the Oculus Rift and other headsets is coming soon.
