Pixel follow-up may have curved screen

Google is the latest technology company to join the curved screen revolution, as it appears that the company’s follow-up to 2016’s flagship Pixel smartphone may feature a curved OLED screen.

A new article from Electronic Times (via Business Insider) reports that Google has offered LG Display an investment worth $880 million to develop curved OLED screens for the next line of Pixel smartphones.

LG Display is yet to decide whether it will accept Google’s proposal, which if rejected could cause Google problems in regards to sourcing curved screens.
