Modder adds Yoshi to Sonic 2

A talented modder by the name of Shiryu has created a pretty impressive Sonic the Hedgehog 2 mod that sees Yoshi of Super Mario fame join the game.

Simply titled ‘MD Yoshi in Sonic the Hedgehog 2’, the mod replaces a number of Sonic the Hedgehog 2’s gameplay mechanics with those from Yoshi’s Island, including Yoshi’s ability to eat enemies, lay and throw eggs and float in the air.

But perhaps our most favourite thing about this mod is the addition of baby Sonic, who rides around on Yoshi’s back just like baby Mario does in Yoshi’s Island.
