As reported by Business Insider, tests conducted on the material have revealed an uncanny ability to self-repair scratches and cuts, and the material automatically stitched itself back together in under 24 hours after being torn apart.

The material features an ion-dipole interaction, a special type of bond between ions and polar molecules that causes the ions and molecules to move towards each other and repair the material when damaged.
