iPhone 8 'unlikely' to cost $1000

Contrary to recent reports it now seems that the upcoming anniversary edition iPhone 8 smartphone is ‘unlikely’ to cost $1000, as revealed by UBS in its most recent outlook on Apple and reported by CNBC.

USB notes that while many in the smartphone industry expected Apple to release an anniversary edition iPhone 8 with a $1000 price tag, the company rarely exceeds the prices of competitors.

UBS also noted an expected ‘bulge of buying’; the constant release of high-end smartphones at high prices will soon fatigue consumers and lead to several smartphone manufacturers lowering retail prices.
