HTC introduces new VR subscription service

HTC has introduced Viveport Subscription, a new subscription service for HTC’s Vive VR headset, as noted in an article from The Verge.

Viveport is HTC’s answer to Valve’s Steam store; it contains a library of virtual reality video games, apps and other content which can be accessed and played through the HTC Vive.

Viveport subscribers can select and download five games or apps for free every month, and potential subscribers can sign up for a one-month trial.

HTC launched the Vive headset almost exactly a year ago on April 5, 2016.
