Instagram has added a new two-factor authentication security feature to the image-sharing application, more than two years after it was first announced.

Instagram’s two-factor authentication was revealed by Instagram CEO Kevin Systrom in a blog post today, and requires users to enter a security code whenever they try to access their account on a new device.

The code is sent to the smartphone number the user registers to their account, and can be enabled by clicking the respective option above the ‘posts you’ve liked’ section in the settings menu.
