1. Lunchtime Concerts

Fancy a Mozart piano sonata at lunchtime? Then check out the Triskel Christchurch in the heart of Cork city at 1pm on Friday.

Dr Fionnuala Moynihan will perform the complete cycle of Mozart’s Piano Sonatas for the first time in Cork. Tickets cost €10.

2. Cream Tea

Devonshire Cream Tea will be served under the guidance of the Duke of Devonshire’s Butler during the annual ‘Devonshire Day’ tomorrow at Lismore Castle in county Waterford.

Guests to the castle can enjoy afternoon tea in the Pugin Room and experience a preview tour of Lismore Castle’s Spring Gardens under the expert guidance of the head gardener.

Tea and tours take place from 11.30am until 4.10pm. Entrance is by ticket only which costs €20 from the Immrama office and Lismore Heritage Centre, 058-53803

3. Child Support

Sheila Lavery, author of ‘Let’s Learn Together’, a guide for parents and teachers of adopted children (www.adoptionuk.org) will present a workshop in association with the International Adoption Association on Saturday about how parents and teachers can better support a child’s emotional regulation resulting in calmer children better able to learn.

It takes place at the Clayton Hotel Dublin Airport from 10am-1pm and tickets cost €50 for non-members.

4. Karl Spain Wants an Audience

Fresh from his success at the Edinburgh Festival and his turn on Celebrity Operation Transformation, Karl Spain in back on tour and in the Comedy Club on Coburg Street in Cork on Saturday.
