Xiaomi and Intel unveil 'Smart Sportswear' Shoes

Xiaomi has partnered with Intel to develop ’90 Minutes Ultra Smart Sportswear’ shoes designed to track fitness data.

Chinese electronics company Xiaomi has unveiled a brand new product aimed at fitness-loving tech-heads: ’90 Minutes Ultra Smart Sportswear’ Shoes powered by technology from Intel, as spotted by GizChina.

The smart shoes were developed by Runmi Technology and feature Intel’s Curie chip, which is used to store a range of the wearer’s fitness data including calories burnt and distance travelled.

Additionally, the shoes can detect different types of movement and will recognise if the wearer is walking, running or climbing.

Xiaomi’s ’90 Minutes Ultra Smart Sportswear’ Shoes are available to preorder from the Mi Home website and will begin shipping from April 15.
