While the initial Anchor app allowed users to record ‘waves’ of up to two minutes and share this content via the app’s network, the new version provides users with the tools to create their own digital radio stations where uploaded content disappears after 24 hours.

Users can record audio and add full songs, professional audio transitions and responses from listeners.

Anchor has signed up a number of professional publishers to create content for the app and it’s likely it could be adopted by podcasters due to its easy-to-use interface.
