Xbox One to support mixed reality headsets

Both the Xbox One and the upcoming Project Scorpio console will support mixed reality headsets in 2018, as reported by The Verge.

The launch date was announced this week at the Games Developers Conference while Microsoft shipped Windows Mixed Reality headsets to developers.

Speaking about the date, a spokesperson for Microsoft said:

‘Our plan is to bring mixed reality content to the Xbox One family of devices, including Project Scorpio, in 2018.’

Microsoft is not alone in its mixed reality venture; a number of PC makers including Dell, Acer and HP have partnered with Microsoft to introduce Windows Mixed Reality headsets to Windows 10 PCs.
