Best recent book you’ve read:

Edgar Keret’s, Suddenly A Knock On The Door.

Best recent film:

Patrick’s Day.

Best recent show/gig you’ve seen:

Australian singer Tullara Connors. She made my skin prickle and my eyes leak.

Best piece of music you’ve been listening to lately (new or old):

Sam-Vance Law. He’s so very brand new, is supporting me and is basically the new Morrissey meets Villagers. I’m in love with his album that comes out soon.

First ever piece of music that really moved you:

Sharon Shannon, ‘Blackbird’.

The best gig or show you’ve ever seen:

The XX at the 2014 Frequency Festival in Austria stands out in my mind. Best sound I’ve ever heard, best lights production I’ve ever seen. And because it’s not a regular festival type band, it really blew me away.

Radio and podcasts:

I got mad into the Serial podcast. I like mixing around Irish stations. A big fave for me is Ronan Collins show for the wide range he has and trivia he shares about his choices. I also like Resonance FM and WWOZ New Orleans radio.

You’re curating your dream festival — what three artists are on the bill, living or dead?

Elvis, Bjork, Tina Turner.

You can travel back to any period of human cultural history or music event. Where, when, why?

Festival Express across America with Grateful Dead and Janis Joplin, all that excess and free love sounds brilliant!

Unsung hero — individual, organisation or group:

Anyone who does a service job with humans has my respect. Waiting on a table is a beautiful art form when it’s done right.

You are queen for a day — what’s your first decree?

Ten kind deeds minimum per day.
