A question of taste: God Knows

Best recent book you’ve read:

It’s been a while since I picked up a book, I’m slipping to be honest. Quincy Jones’s autobiography was the best book I’ve ever read.

Best recent film:

My lady is huge into Harry Potter fandom, so through her eyes Fantastic Beasts was fantastic.

Best recent show/gig you’ve seen:

Same D4ence [Limerick rap crew] at Whelans in Dublin, those lads are on to something.

TV viewing:

That Netflix is a trip! Black Mirror is the show that has caught my eye recently, love it.

Radio listening and/or podcasts:

Mark Maron’s podcast which is called WTF and Juan Epstein’s hip-hop podcast — they are the ones doing it for me right now.

You’re curating your dream festival — what three artists are on the bill, living or dead?

James Brown, Bob Marley, and Tupac Shakur.

Do you have any interesting ancestors or family?

My uncle Chinx Chingaira, who fought for the independence for Zimbabwe and then sold a lot of records as an artist — maybe that’s the reason I’m an artist today.

You are king for a day — what’s your first decree?

My first decree will guarantee free informal music education in every primary school.
