Christmas presents don’t always have to be material goods and what greater gift is there to give than the gift of helping those that can’t help themselves.

There are a number of organisations that now offer donation vouchers for Christmas such as Concern, Trocaire and Oxfam, but possibly the strongest call to action comes from The World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF) which has released a powerfully poignant video to show people what their donation could do to help the animals of the world.

The World Wide Fund for Nature is an international non-governmental organization that works towards wilderness preservation and the reduction of humanity’s footprint on the environment.

In the video a family wakes up to find a injured tiger distressed and exhausted on their bed. The family help the tiger back to health and then watch him return to the wild.

It is a vivid reminder of what a donation to the WWF can really do.

Whether it is a local, national or international charity you feel strongly about, consider a present with a difference this Christmas and give someone the gift of philanthropy on December 25.
