Book review: We Were On A Break

EVER since her debut, I Heart New York, in 2009, Lindsey Kelk has been delighting readers with her fun, feisty, fabulous romcoms and her latest offering, We Were On A Break, is no exception.
Book review: We Were On A Break

Adam and Liv’s holiday to Mexico is all set to mark the next chapter in their lives together. Adam has planned to propose, and Liv, not one for surprises, has been duly pre-warned by her best friend Cass. However, instead of a proposal, Adam and Liv get into an argument that ends in him calling for a break in their relationship.

Both unsure of how they have got to this point, rather than talking it through and making up, the situation grows worse, and as the phony war between Adam and Liv gets ever more tense, they have to re-evaluate whether they were right for each other all along.

Reading a Lindsey Kelk novel always feels like a treat. And although rather little happens in terms of plot, the novel is as brilliant as Kelk’s others.
