Last Friday, Joby Healy got a phonecall from a vet in England who had his Jack Russell.

Healy had microchipped the dog which led the vet to his contact information.

Healy told Neil Prendeville on Cork’s RedFM: "Three years later, we were after coming to the conclusion that Libby was a goner."

Healy collected Libby yesterday and said, "the vet from the British pound believes she was smuggled through the border and taken to England."

Regardless of her journey, Healy is delighted to have Libby home.

Jokingly he added: "I wonder if Libby will have an English bark when she gets back."
