Jazz hands

Limerick will be the place to be this weekend as the city hosts top international and Irish musicians for the fifth annual Limerick Jazz Festival.

Artists from US, Spain, UK, and Northern Ireland, as well as homegrown talent will provide top class entertainment at various venues.

Cork Folk Festival is back on Thursday until Sunday showcasing the best folk and trad acts in 12 venues around the city. Highlights include Mick Flannery, Lynched, and Buttons & Bows.

Open House Cork, an architectural festival run by a group of young architects, kicks off on Friday and runs until Sunday, October 2.

More than 20 buildings will open up for free across the weekend, offering a chance to peek inside some unique homes.
