As part of his new 'Save the Day' campaign, director Joss Whedon gathered together a group of his famous (some more than others) collegues, as well as one or two members of the general public to encourage people to make their votes count in the upcoming US Elections.
Hey! Did I miss anything? Lol jk the world is on fire 😂 here's a thing I made https://t.co/g1SE45Rkrv— Joss Whedon (@joss) September 21, 2016
Robert Downey Jr, Scarlett Johannson, Nathan Fillion, Mark Ruffalo and many other famous faces from the world of TV and movies have come together in this short video to remind Americans that an out-of-touch and compromised set of representatives that they are answerable to the people they were hired to serve"
And while Trump isn't mentioned by name in this piece, it doesn't take a genius to work out who they're talking about.
"You only get this many famous people together if the issue is one that truly matters to all of us. A disease, or an ecological crisis, or a RACIST ABUSIVE COWARD who could permanently damage the fabric of our society.
"Do we really want to give nuclear weapons to a man whose signature move is firing things?"
If a whole host of celebrities aren't enough to encourge people to get out and make the smart choice on November 8, why not listen to a former (fictional) President of the United States, Jed Bartlet.
And even if that's not enough to convince Americans... "Mark [Ruffalo] will do a nude scene in his next movie".
There you have it folks, if ever there was a better reason to not vote Trump, we don't know what they are.
