Couple build 'superbed' big enough to sleep them and eight rescue dogs

Some dog owners can go to great lengths to accommodate their best friends, but I bet there’s not many that would build a ’superbed’ to share with their canine amigos.

Chris and Mariesa Hughes run a dog rescue centre in New York, called The Mr. Mo Project, and found that they weren’t able to sleep comfortably in their normal bed because their eight dogs took up most of the space.

Chris said: "When we go to bed, all of the dogs try to beat us there and take up all the space on the bed. We didn’t want to allow one dog and not the other so we would manage and often times wake up needing a hip replacement."
