Anyone up for a bird of prey stand?

If like me, you find yourself distracted from the film plot by the set and cries of — “I want that amazing side table” — then the penny dreadful sale at Punchestown Racecourse next Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday is for you.
Ashgrove Auctioneers will offer more than 3,000 unusual antique and reproduction lots from the Baftawinning series shot at Ardmore Studios in Bray.

With everything from birds of prey stands, mounted stags heads, taxidermy, vintage oak barrels, fine bindings like the works of Victor Hugo in 19 volumes (€250-€300), boxes, brass trays, cauldrons, urns, graduated copper pans, musical instruments including a baby grand piano, toy dolls in period dress, antique clocks chandeliers, cut crystal, brass fenders, toby jugs, a vintage bicycle and antique work tables, chairs, mirrors, dining tables, card tables, sideboard, library steps, and shop cabinets, this is an auction to cater for many interests. The live and online sale is on view from 12pm to 6pm today, tomorrow and Monday.
