There is viewing all day today and from 9.30am tomorrow until the sale.

VINTAGE ITEMS

There is to be an auction in Newcastlewest, County Limerick at 11am today. O’Donovan and Associates will offer a variety of lots, including furniture, cut glass, a selection of hallmarked silver, Mason’s tea services, art, collectibles and vintage items.

CORK WATERCOLOURS

An exhibition of watercolours of Cork city and its surroundings by Thomas Ryan RHA runs upstairs at the Lavit Gallery from August 30 to September 10. There are landmarks like St Fin Barre’s Cathedral, Beamish & Crawford Brewery, and Blarney Castle, as well as city streetscapes of Grand Parade and well-known pubs like Reidy’s Vault Bar and Larry Tompkins.

Ryan has always been interested in buildings and architecture in general, and has produced two publications on the subject: a gathering of Limerick prints and a volume of watercolour drawings of Dublin city and its surroundsing suburbs.

ADAMS SALE

In Dublin there will be an interiors and fine art sale at Adams, Blackrock, at 11am next Tuesday. Antique furniture, Irish art, chandeliers, porcelain, silver, jewellery and collectibles will all come under the hammer. Viewing from 2pm to 5pm tomorrow, from 9.30am to 6pm on Monday and from 9.30am to the start of the sale on Tuesday.

An antiques and more fair will be held at Trim Castle Hotel

CONTENTS AUCTION

More than 550 lots will be sold at a house contents auction at 68 Wellington Road, Dublin 4 at 1.30pm tomorrow.

Following the sale, Matthews of Oldcastle will offer contents from the home of the McCarron family. Viewing from 11 am to 5 pm today and from 10 am tomorrow.
