This girl left her Debs to play a GAA match

For some, the Debs is one of the most important days of their lives so far. But others have different priorities.
This girl left her Debs to play a GAA match

Emma Finlay had got herself glammed up for her Debs - dress, hair, make-up - but she didn’t think twice about leaving halfway through.

You see, the Laois People’s First Credit Union Intermediate Championship semi final was on and Emma’s GAA team, Shanahoe needed her on the pitch.

And they won, beating Graiguecullen 3-11 to 0-01.

The Shanahoe Ladies Football Facebook page posted a side-by-side photo of Emma kitted out in her Debs gear and another of her ready to play the match, congratulating her on the win:

"Emma played a starring role at corner back. Hats off to Emma for her commitment to the team! Enjoy your night!!"

Emma then returned to her Debs (presumably in a blaze of glory) and carried on with her night.

The post has since gone viral with many commending her commitment to the team. But as she says, the club always comes first.
