At the end of the tour, 32 players will participate in the Capcom Cup with $250,000 up for grabs. To qualify, players must win a Global Premier Event; be invited from EVO 2016; qualify via Regional Finals; qualify via regional point leaderboards; or qualify via the global point leaderboards.

On September 3-4, Celtic Throwdown 2016 will be held in the Ashling Hotel, Dublin with tournaments in games such as Street Fighter V, Mortal Kombat XL, Smash Brothers 4, Pokemon and many more. The winner of the Street Fighter V tournament automatically qualifies for the European Regional Final, putting them one step closer to appearing at the Capcom Cup.

Celtic Throwdown 2016 is being hosted by AsOne Productions, a crew of avid gamers born out of the Irish Fighting Games Community. The team will be taking over two ballrooms in the hotel with a variety of setups for people who want to play casually or competitively. The event will also be streamed on Twitch with the two covering channels (Brianvondoom and mscupcakes) to be given a prominent spot on the Twitch homepage. And of course if you are in attendance, you will be able to enjoy the tournament on spectator screens in both rooms.

Finally, the event has partnered with ShareStock Childplay.org to provide evening entertainment on the Saturay night, so there should be something for every gamer to enjoy.
