Gotham season 3 trailer promises plenty

Who expected anything from Gotham?

It was intended to give us a new perspective on the heroes and villains of the DC city where Superman doesn't live, and we all pretty much expected it to last a single season. But the set up proved to be fertile ground and the combination of solid performances, intriguing storytelling and high production values has seen it go from strength to strength.

Now we can get a glimpse at where it's heading in season 3.

There's a lot to take in here, with a huge number of new villains being introduced and some familiar faces as well. Oddly, Jim Gordon himself doesn't get much of a look in, but that's probably because he's busy trying to keep all these folks in check.

The third season will be debuting on Fox in September 2016.
