This particular feature has been available to US users for a few weeks, but is rolling out around the world now. The new channel is titled “Videos you might like” and is located at the top of the Explore page.
Explore helps you find posts that you might like from people you don’t follow. Now this tool is pushing content from video creators too.
An Instagram spokesperson explained that this new feature has been launched as a response to the upsurge in the amount of video being watched on the platform. Instagram also plans to launch more dedicated event-focused channels in the future. These will be comparable to the one that ran earlier this year for the Brit awards.
