David Bowie's record player estimated at €800-€1,200
The stereo cabinet — a definitive piece of 1960’s Italian design — was created by the brothers Achille and Pier Giacomo Castiglioni for Brionvega.
Examples can be found in the permanent collections of the Smithsonian, the Cooper Hewitt Museum in New York and the V and A Museum in London.
It comes up at Sotheby’s three-part sale of Bowie’s collection, which is dominated by artworks, in London next November with an estimate of €800-€1,200.
More than 400 items from his private collection will be on offer.
