Star Wars Episode VIII to begin where Episode VII ended

During Star Wars Celebration 2016, director Rian Johnson revealed that Episode VIII will do something not done by any other film in the Star Wars saga to date. Episode VIII will begin right where Episode VII wrapped up.

If you don’t remember the scene, and presuming that you’ve seen the film, Episode VII concludes with Rey making her way to the hideout of Luke Skywalker to present him with his lightsaber. This scene raised the profile of the beautiful Skellig Michael off the coast of Ireland and it will get some more time in the spotlight in Episode VIII.

While Daisy Ridley (Rey) has talked about working on Skellig Michael and with Mark Hamill, it’s only now that we know how Star Wars Episode VIII will open.
