Revised HTC Vive could be out as early as this year

There are rumours that HTC is working on a revised Vive VR headset. However, it is likely that this new model will simply change the design rather than update the headsets specs.

The rumour comes via Reddit from a user who claims to have been at Taiwan Paiho's analysts meeting. This is the company responsible for supplying Vive's head strap.

They say that HTC is preparing a revised model and that will require a new head strap. This head strap is to be supplied in September, indicating that the new Vive model could be out as early as the end of this year or possibly the start of next year.

No specs have been revealed for this new model, though it's thought that Vive will only be making small changes to the design and weight.
