Liam Neeson with a spectacular new trailer for A Monster Calls
Books with pictures aren't just for kids, and there's ample evidence to be found in A Monster Calls. It was published in 2011 and credited to Patrick Ness as the writer and illustrator Jim Kay, all from a story by Siobhan Dowd who sadly passed away before she could put it together.
It's the story of a boy called Conor who is dealing with his mother's illness and that's all the story set up you're going to get. It's a wonderful book and is about to be the subject of a major adaptation which looks absolutely spectacular.
