Kojima takes shot at Konami - says Death Stranding will be his best work
During his keynote address at the Develop Conference, Kojima said, "So far, when I've been making games, I've had to give up on something or at least compromise on something in order to get things done.”
He says that working with Sony has ensured that he won’t have to do that. "But this time, working with you [Mark Cerny] and you bringing the state of the art technologies, we will get around that [usual problem],” he explained.
Kojima added, "I'm very confident that we're working towards something completely new and that no one has seen so far. This will be my best work so far, I'm very confident about that."
There’s quite a bit of mystery surrounding Death Stranding. You can watch the E3 trailer, which is pretty bonkers and Kojima says is “representative” of the final game. No release date has been set just yet.
