James Cameron's Aliens with a live score coming first to Dublin
James Cameron took what he had learned on his first full feature film, The Terminator, and amped everything up, delivering a sequel to Ridley Scott's Alien that did so much more than just furthering a single story. In many way, he created the xenomorph menace as we know it today, and also crafted one of the most influential sci-fi action films of all time.
The short version is it's a pretty great film, and you can see it in a whole new way with a live score by the RTE Concert Orchestra. The performance is part of the celebrations for the 30th anniversary and we're actually going to get to see it in Dublin before anywhere else in the world. While the premiere is set for the Royal Albert Hall in London on the 6th of November 2016, it will arrive at the Bord Gais Energy Theatre in Dublin as a preview on the 23rd of September.
