The great Carrie Coon set for Fargo Season 3
The Leftovers is a great HBO show that you might not be watching and without a doubt one of the best elements is Carrie Coon. The actress is known for her stage work and recently transitioned to the bigger screen with a role in David Finchers Gone Girl. Her part as the tough and complex Nora Durst on The Leftovers has to be one of the best acting performances in recent years, picking up a Critics Choice Award in 2016.
Happily, there's going to be more from the actress soon as she's just booked a major part in the third season of Fargo, which is already turning out to be one of the best series around. She's set to play the chief of police in a small town called Eden Valley, according to an exclusive report from TV Line. The character description makes it sound like perfect casting for Coon, who will soon be finished shooting the third and final season of The Leftovers which takes the cast and crew to Australia.
Ewan McGregor was previously confirmed to be appearing in Fargo season 3, as two similar looking brothers Emmit and Ray Stussy. Presumably one or both of the brothers are going to get into some awful and halfway hilarious trouble with the law, as Coon is said to have a major role in the new show.
Fargo season 3 will hopefully shoot in late 2016 for a 2017 airing. You should go catch up with the first two seasons right now, and why not check out The Leftovers too.
