Charleville auctioneer PJ O’Gorman will offer more than 350 lots including antique furniture, church pews and even a small pipe organ in an on the premises auction at the convent.
The sisters are leaving after 151 years.
A lunchtime lecture on Viking Silver in the Hunt Museum’s collection, by Professor John Sheehan of the Archaeology Department at UCC, takes place at the Hunt Museum in Limerick on July 13 at 1 pm.
Professor Sheehan will focus on a silver neck ring from the 10th-11th century, a silver brooch from the 9th-10th century and a Viking silver arm ring.
More than 500 lots will come under the hammer at an ephemera and books auction by Matthews at the Dukes Building, Kells, Co Meath, tomorrow at 1 pm.
There will be an auction of fine jewellery, watches and silver at O’Reilly’s of Francis St, Dublin next Wednesday at 1 pm.
Christie’s 20th century art sales had brought in £212,545,850 on June 30.
The auction house reportedsales of 82% with 20 records set for artists’ works across all price points.
