Comedian and 96Fm DJ Ross Browne has been making a name the last couple of weeks - first with his gas Jeremy Kyle prank and then with his joke call to the State Examinations Board.

His next victim proved a little harder to rattle - the BBC.

On the back of Chris Evans’ resignation, Ross rang up looking to apply for the now vacant presenter job on Top Gear.

They were having none of it though.
