John Romero to talk Doom this weekend in Ireland

Co-founder of id Software and Doom developer will be speaking this weekend at BroCon in Limerick, Ireland.

He will be doing a post-mortem of Doom, so this is definitely one to catch if you’re a fan of Doom or Romero’s other work.

Romero and his wife Brenda have become integral members of the video game development community in Ireland. Together, they set up Romero Games, which is based in Galway.

One of Romero’s projects, Blackroom, is to take inspiration from the landscape and architecture of Ireland. The Kickstarter was cancelled before its natural conclusion, as the team plans to put together a demo to drum up interest.

Romero’s Doom post-mortem kicks off at 4pm on July 9.
