BBC rolls out iPlayer Radio app in Ireland

The app was launched in 2012 to allow fans to listen to its radio programming on mobile devices, but it was restricted to those in the UK. It is now expanding to listeners around the world, starting with Ireland.

The iPlayer app will feature live streaming, a 30-day archive of broadcasts, offline podcasts, curated BBC Radio highlights and collections, an alarm clock, and more. However, some features are still restricted unless you’re in the UK. You won’t, for example, be able to listen to some sports broadcasts, and you won’t be able to download archived programs.
