INSPIRATION

We're taking back the field and demanding festival fashion to be a mud-free zone. No more wellies, rain jackets or pack-a-parkas.

It's going to be a haute hippie affair only – all diaphanous fabrics, carefree cuts, delicate sandals and intricate embroidery.

This Isabel Marant fantasy may well not segue past the borders of our imagination (did you see Glastonbury?) but it is oh-so-pretty.

? LAYER: Belt a fringed robe over a gypsy blouson and easy shorts. Add an artisanal scarf and graduated chains for extra trend points.

? EMBROIDERY: Get on board with summer's arts and crafts vibe and look to embroidered pieces that boast decorative appeal like filigree flowers and ethnic edging. Instant visual interest without the hassle of accessories.

? DANGLE: Go hands-free with a cross-body or belted bag. Save those hands for dancing!

? EDGE: Tassels are an easy way to give your look some fringe benefits. Stick to one feature piece like shoes, hems, earrings or waistbands – less is always more.
